Criminology, Criminal Justice, and Forensic Medicine

Forensic Science

The second day of the ICCFS-PT conference is dedicated to forensic science, with a particular emphasis on fundamental and applied research supporting the development of new investigative methods and technologies. The sessions will address contemporary crime scene examination strategies; advanced techniques for the detection, collection, preservation, and analysis of trace evidence; and the development and implementation of innovative forensic procedures that account for the influence of visualization to ensure compatibility with downstream genetic analyses. A key theme of the session will be the interdisciplinary nature of modern forensic science and the need to strengthen the link between scientific discovery and the practical requirements of forensic professionals. The program aims to promote the translation of emerging research findings into reliable, validated, and practically applicable forensic solutions.
